This song I wrote thinking of our friend Don Mason,

I believe in some way he taught me a lot and not necessarily about music.

Mostly I prefer to think that he is still among us, and he wouldn't want us to be sad,

Your song and video captures Don spirit so well. What a beautiful way to celebrate his life.

I agree with Paul here....It is a wonderful production both the music and the images that go with it. Well executed and most original. And it is most fitting as a dedication to Don Mason,who is now sorely missed by all of us.

Incidentally, I remarked to Sergey how the sound and rhythm of this improvisation reminded me very much of the sound of the Shadows, way back in the sixties. Now the Shadows ( Cliff Richard and the Shadows) were never that big in the USA where you had the Ventures, but they were massive in Europe , Australia and Sout East Asia...........

I think you are correct about Shadows, because the style is called "60s Shadowed Pop".

There's also "Shadowed Guitar" but I used different one in this composition.

Certainly in music everyone borrows everything, and it is also interesting how each culture adjusts something according to its needs, so there are a lot of Russian songs performed in same manner but they tend to become more severe :-)

Sergey beautiful Tribute so well performed as always...I am sure Don is listening from Heaven with a Big smile on his face. You are truly a gifted musician.

All I can say is WOW! What an incredible production. Your talents are outstanding to say the very least. I will download this and send it to his wife Susan. I just talked to her today, and she is holding up well considering the circumstances, and she misses him so very much.

I appreciate that Susan may see that this video doesn’t feel like it’s about Don enough, as I didn’t want it to be too direct, but I also don’t mind that she sees it;

Certainly, anyone in her position would need a great deal of time to process such dramatic events and separation with loved ones, even after being acquainted with Don just remotely as I am I realize that I’m mostly in denial about what has happened.
